Christmas is nearly upon us which means we are approximately half way through the close season and the countdown to summer begins in the New Year.
Often the off-season is busier for the Management Team than the summer and everyone has been working hard on different projects to make next season a great success.
Nat Guyot, our overseas player for the last 2 seasons will be playing for the club again in 2024 and is living in the UK now so will not be required to register as an overseas player. This enables the club to sign another overseas player.
As well as undertaking the winter programme of pitch preparation works, the grounds team have been working on a specification for new mowers to replace old machines that have become unreliable and costly to maintain. We hope to be able to order these in the coming days.
A new app, Pitchero, has been researched and approved that will streamline so much of the admin and make all members' lives easier. You will be able to use it for availability, following scores, match fees, club information and much more. Thank you to the large numbers who have downloaded Pitchero already. If you haven't done so yet, please follow the instructions in Andy Stenning's recent email as Pitchero is going to be an essential part of the club going forward.
On Monday the club hosted 55 people for a Warm Hub Christmas Lunch, congratulations to Cara and all involved. There are lots of initiatives at the bar to satisfy everyone including quiz nights, cocktails, pizza evenings and now a Happy Hour on Wednesdays. Come and enjoy some Christmas cheer at the best prices around.
Harlequin already supply the club with staff polo shirts and there is a wider range of leisurewear available with the Club logo at the following link:
Perfect for any last minute Xmas gifts.
And on that note, can I wish everyone season's greetings and a wonderful break over the festive period. Remember the bar will be open throughout the holidays, even on Christmas Day !
